WHERE DOES THE HAN BURGER COME FROM?
"The world's earliest take on a hamburger"
Originating in then-capital Xi’an during the formation of the Silk Road spice trade as early as 220 BC, the roujiamo (肉夹馍) has been a street food favorite in China for two millennia. In fact, it is considered the world's earliest take on a hamburger. The sandwich consists of marinated meat – typically pork - slow cooked in a variety of spices and combined with hot peppers, veggies and garnishes on a toasted bun.
WHAT IS IN
THE HAN BURGER?
"The complex flavor profile of The Han Burger is achieved by combining slow cooked meat and savory au jus with cilantro and mouth-numbing spice"
The Han Burger is a modern re-imagining of this undiscovered treasure. We start by marinating our pork belly and beef brisket for at least 10 hours. Then we slow cook it in our proprietary blend of spices for several more hours, producing extremely tender meat. The Han Burger's symphony of flavor starts when we layer the inside of a fresh homemade bun with spicy pickled peppers. When we add slow-cooked meat, au jus soaks the bread. That savory sensation combined with mouth-numbing spicy peppers and cilantro creates a unique flavor profile only found in The Han Burger.
“Low and slow really makes these handhelds a crazy delicious flavor experience like no other!!!”
